Volunteer

Each week volunteers come to the Life House to do a variety of tasks, such as babysitting, organizing, or teaching.

There are a variety of ways you can assist. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out our online volunteer form below. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or group chaperone.

 

Female Volunteers

Female individuals who want to work directly with the young women and babies require Criminal and Child Abuse clearances. After clearances are obtained, orientation and training will be scheduled.

Babysitting - day and evening hours

Male or Female Volunteers

After clearances are obtained, orientation and training will be scheduled. Male and female volunteers may support the organization by assisting the staff in the areas below.

Clean, sort and organize donations

Special Events/Fundraising- assisting with planning/preparation of event including solicitation calls

Building maintenance and repairs - painting, lawn care, etc.

Transporting furniture

Required Clearances

The volunteer form must be completed and each of these clearances requires a small payment.

State Police Criminal Record Check (can be submitted via internet with immediate results) Criminal Record Check

PA Child Abuse History Clearance (submit application along with copy of the results)

If you have not yet begun this process, please do so and please bring or send copies of the results to 714 W. Broad Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Please note: clearances are required when working directly with youth under the age of 18.
